October 3 is the Feast Day of Saint Mother Théodore Guérin. This saint had GRIT! At a young age Saint Theodore became the head of the household after her mother had been stricken by grief after the tragic deaths of Saint Theodore's brothers and father. At the age of 25, Saint Theodore was permitted by her mother to enter religious life. Shortly after she became a Sister, she became the head of a roughand tumble school that was reeling from the French Revolution. After that, Saint Theodore moved to America...to a crowded house in the middle of the woods. She and her fellow sisters opened a school within the year of her arrival.
